Donald Charles Storhoff, age 86, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 13, 1935, in Harmony, Minn., the son of Alvin and Mildred (Larson) Storhoff. On August 23, 1953, Donald was united in marriage to Lois J. Vitse in Fountain, Minn. This marriage was blessed with four children.
Don was employed for 47 years in the dairy industry, beginning his career at the Preston Creamery Association, and retiring as President and CEO of Foremost Farms USA. He was a past member and president of several state and national dairy and food organizations.
He was a family man who, above all, cherished spending time with his family. Don attended many sporting events, movies, and theatre, but his biggest joy came from being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid reader, golfer, fisherman, and loyal Packer fan.
Upon retirement, Donald and Lois spent many winters in Palm Desert, Calif., where they enjoyed countless memories with family and friends golfing and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Kenneth, and brother-in-law Frank Little.
Donald is survived by his loving wife Lois, children Deborah (Michael) Banks of Reedsburg, Douglas (Diane) Storhoff of Green Bay, Daniel (Kathy) Storhoff of Lodi, and David (Shelley) Storhoff of Beaver Dam; grandchildren Tyler (Cammie) Banks, Tessa Banks, Brittany, Brady, and Brandyn Storhoff; Charles, Kirsten, Danielle and Amelia Storhoff; and Jeffry (Crystal) Edwards; great-grandchildren Bryce, Natalie and Grace Banks; and Kynlee Edwards; sisters Myrna Little of Fountain, Minn., and LaVonne (James) Todd of Harmony, Minn.; many nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to say a special thank you to the Reedsburg EMTs, Reedsburg Area Medical Center, the staff, security, and hospice care nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, and Pastor Beth Voigt of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Reedsburg.
