Donald C. Colsch, age 77, of Mabel, died Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Green Lea Senior Living in Mabel.
Donald was born February 25, 1943, in Waukon, Iowa, to Leroy and Margaret Colsch. He grew up in the Dorchester area and was a longtime machine operator at Northern Engraving in Spring Grove.
He was proud of his children, and enjoyed watching Joe compete in antique tractor pulls, listening to bluegrass and country music, especially the Molly B Band, watching old western movies, going to auctions, going to gun shows and collecting guns, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He had a love of Dodge pickup trucks and passed that love on to his son Joe.
Donald is survived by his children Josephine Louise Colsch and Jonah Steven Colsch; a step-son, Jack Clifford Eiken; three step-grandchildren: Nadia, Nora, and Freya; and several brothers and sisters.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Leroy “Jackie” and Margaret Colsch, and several brothers and sisters.
No services are planned. The Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel is assisting with arrangements.
