It is with heartfelt gratitude to God for the gift of our sister, niece, cousin, godmother and Aunt Diane who returned to her heavenly Father, on August 21, 2023. Diane was born March 22, 1967, to Walter and Donna (Anderson) Shuda in La Crosse, Wis.
Diane was an amazing lady who endured many struggles in her life, yet always had a smile or a joke for everyone. She loved her work at ABC workshop in Caledonia, where she received Employee of the Year. She received services from ABLE Inc. for 40 years, living with her best friends Lisa, Michelle and Janice and, recently Beth, where she was a resident at Gundersen Tweeten Care Center, which she absolutely loved.
Diane is being reunited with both her parents, grandparents, brother Stene Anderson, and brother in law Gary Sanders.
She is survied by her siblings Connie (George) Mroch, Delavan Wis.; Pat Sanders, Stoddard, Wis.; Julie (John) Holzwarth, Butch (Debi) Shuda, Brownsville; Jane (Tim) Foellmi, Brownsville; and Keri (Dan) Becker, New Albin.
Services for Diane will be Tuesday, August 29 at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Church in Brownsville, with visitation from 9-11 a.m. prior to service. Burial will be in Veterans Cemetery, Brownsville.
The family would like to extend heartful thanks to ABC works, ABLE direct care staff, nurse Elaine, special staff Cindy, Lisa, Kallie, and especially Rita Noel, and all her direct care staff that so lovingly enfluenced her life. Gundersen Tweeten Care was an added gift to us with their over-the-top care, and of course her hospice care staff from Mayo, Tuesday, Fran, Liz, Chaplain Laura, and Dr. Bingol and your team. We will never forget you.
Rest in peace dear Diane, we love you.
