David Lee Otis, 69, of Mabel, Minn., passed away on December 13, 2024, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis.
David was born on July 11, 1955, the son of Howard and Marjorie (nee Adams) Otis in Oakland, Calif. David attended school in the Burnsville, Minn., area and was a graduate of Burnsville High School. He then furthered his education in welding in a vocational program. David loved to fish and do woodworking. He will be remembered for the care and assistance he provided to his parents, whom he adored.
David is survived by brother Paul Otis, sister Annette Larsen, sister-in-law Tammy Otis, brother-in-law Paul Larsen, and seven nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Marjorie Otis, sister Deborah Otis, and niece Alyssa Zillhart.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at the Rushford Community Center, Rushford, Minn., on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 1 p.m.
Following the celebration, burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Rushford.
Memorial donations may be made in David’s name to The American Liver Foundation.
