Daniel Paul Gade, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home farm on May 13, 2024. He was born July 7, 1961, in La Crosse, Wis., to Paul and Arlene Gade. In 1979 Dan graduated from Kee High School Lansing, Iowa. After high school he continued working on the family farm in rural Eitzen, Minn.
On August 20, 2005, Dan was united in marriage to Jeanne (Ingvalson) Misch at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Caledonia. They shared 18 years together enjoying rock concerts, annual cross country road trips, and numerous family gatherings.
Dan had passion for farming, raising crops and beef cattle. He was fond of NASCAR car races and car shows. Dan enjoyed being outdoors whether it be hunting, cutting firewood or gathering morel mushrooms. Dan will be remembered as a quiet, kind-hearted man that loved the simple things in life.
Dan is survived by his wife Jeanne and family: Terry (Carolyn) Misch, Lydia, Sylvia, Hunter, and Ella; Leah Misch; Karly Misch (Kenny), Kaylan, Kyler, and Kip; Marc (Amanda) Misch, June. He is also survived by his mother Arlene Gade and siblings Paul Jr. (Julie) Gade, Marilyn Weis, Diane Leppert, Bill (Tammie) Gade, many extended family members and his loyal dog Marley.
He was proceeded in death by his father Paul.
The visitation will be Friday, May 17 from 4-7 p.m. in Holy Family Hall at St Mary’s Catholic Church of Caledonia, Minn., where there will be a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, is assisting the family.
