Dale Finseth, 89, of Fountain, passed away Friday September 2, 2016 at Gunderson Harmony Health Care in Harmony.
Dale was born July 13, 1927 in Carrollton Township to Justin and Ida (Skrukrud) Finseth at the home on the farm in Carrollton Township, Fountain.
Dale went to rural school until the eighth grade. He worked for area farmers until he started hauling cream three days a week at the age of 16. Dale and his twin brother, Dean went into the military and were sent to Japan for a year in the occupation.
Dale married Beverly Joan Kester in August of 1948. The couple has lived in Fountain all of their lives. Dale was dedicated to his milk hauling, farming, family and friends. Dale loved to dance and listen to polka music.
Dale is lovingly remembered by his wife, Beverly; son Dallas (Debra) Finseth, daughter Denise (Jerome) Euteneuer, grandchildren Amy Finseth, Heather (Brian) Ristau, Chad (Cassie) Finseth, Larysa (Will) Euteneuer, and Ethan Euteneuer; great-grandchildren Drew Tienter, Kennedy Ristau, Jezlyn Finseth, Jaidyn Finseth, and Diem Finseth; brother Orvis (Pat); sisters-in-law Carol, Elizabeth, and Pearl; and brother-in-law Mel (Ardith) Holtan.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dean, Donald, Arnold, and Vernon; sisters Edith Kolstad, Merle Richter, Mavis Severson, and Doris Holtan.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Fountain Lutheran Church, with Rev. Christopher Miller officiating. A committal service and military honors will follow at the Chatfield Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials to the Fountain Lutheran Church.
