Cross Country (9/29 & 10/1)

Chatfield Invite #3 (The host Gopher girls (23) beat La Crescent/Hokah (33) and W-K (80).  LCH had the top runner, Lydia Rosendahl (21:24).  Chatfield had runners 2-3-4-5; Tessa McMahon (21:53), Aletta Strande (22:22), Belle Carr (22:42), and Abbi Gillespie (22:50).  Katelyn Dornack (9th, 23:43) was their fifth scoring runner.  LC/H’s boys (22) took first over Chatfield (38) and W-K (73).  Lancers Cody Kowalski (18:23) and Jack Redman (18:49) took first and second.  Treyton Lanning (19:08) took third to lead the Gophers.  Alex Wright (19:49) and Cody Guenther (19:54) took fifth and sixth.  Both 5-kilometer races ran at Chatfield Golf Course) 

PEM Invite (LARP’s boys (23) stayed undefeated on the season (6 for 6) by besting PEM (40) and Cotter (72).  Luke O’Hare (16:59.32) and Tyler Rislov (17:16.9) stayed first-second undefeated to lead the way, though Andrew Hoiness (17:30.99) took third running his fastest time of the year.  Ryan Prinsen (18:43.96) and Tyler Betthauser (18:52.25) took 8th and 9th to round out LARP’s scoring runners.  Cotter (22) beat PEM (35) and LARP (69) in the girls race.   Rambler runners Claire Ebertowski (20:44.64) and Sonja Semling (20:48.96) battled with PEM’s Molly Kate Hagen (21:51.69) for the first three spots.  LARP’s top runner was Lauren Honken (22:48.24), who took tenth.  The 5-kilometer races were held at Piper Hills GC in Plainview) 

D-E Invite (GMLOS girls were the only complete team running against D-E and Schaeffer Academy.  Eagle Malia Nelson (21:10) took first with Team GM runners Mckenna Hendrickson (21:43), Kendyl Queensland (22:54), Lauren Queensland (22:55), and Naomi Warmka (23:05) finishing 2-3-4-5.  Schaeffer (29) won the boy’s race over GMLOS (39) and D-E (52).  Schaeffer’s Luke Bothun (16:62) took first with GMLOS runners Christian Hjelman (18:24) and Cohen Wiste (18:30) taking second and third.  The 5-kilometer races were held at D-E School grounds) 

K-M Invite (Lourdes boys (31) beat K-M (39) and Kingsland (53).  Eagle runner Kevin Turlington (16:44.1) took first with Knight Garrison Hubka (17:14.4) taking second.  Teammate Cole Kruegel (18:37.7) took sixth.  K-M was the only complete girls team.  Lourdes’ Anna Peikert (20:47) took first over K-M’s Tiana Wiebke (21:34.9) and Adisen Skov (21:47.9).   Susie Mettler (23:03.7) took seventh to lead the Knights) 

St. Charles Invite (The host Saints (35) edged Stewartville (41) and LFC (44) in a close boys team race.  Saints Andrew O’Hara (17:53) and Shane Arnold (18:00) went 1-2.  LFC’s Carson Ruen (18:04) finished third and Riley Serfling (19:16) sixth.  Stewartville (22) beat LFC (33) with SC incomplete in the girl’s race.  Tigers Haylie Strum (20:31) and Ali Graff (21:51) went 1-2, LFC’s Lilyan Kiehne (22:09) taking third.  Meet ran at St. Charles’ Winona County Fairgrounds)
