Notices and Consent Agenda: 40th Annual Cancer Crusade 1/18 ad 1/19 at American Legion; SEMLMC meeting in Kasson 1/30; Grow Your Business Flyer listing three EDA programs. Claims/fund summary report, OT report, financial report, police reports, utility recap report, Housing Rehab Loans thru year end; Micro-Grant Funds thru year end; EDA/RLF loans thru year end; EDA charts on Market Value Growth and Tax Rate trends by City from ’07-’25. Minor updates to Com’l RLF Business Jump Start; Lodging Tax Report thru year end; Annual Fee schedule approved, AV/Gas sales thru year end; Building/Zoning Permits thru year end and historical chart of all activities since ’89; appoint Robin Honken to EDA Board.
Approve purchase of 50 flower baskets from Roger Colbenson; work on solution for watering as Lions Club may not have manpower to do every day.
As recommended by PWD, approve ending Drew Anderson’s probationary period effective 1/15/25 and provide step increase in pay.
Resolution acknowledging donation from Rushford Fire Dept Relief Assoc. $500.00 to Rushford Ambulance Svc. and $200.00 to Rushford Library on behalf of the Lions Club. Donations are for assistance during music event held at fire hall last fall.
Resolution acknowledging benevolence donation from Rushford Lutheran Church $450.00 to Rushford Ambulance and $450.00 to Rushford Fire Dept.
Set dates and times of regular council meetings for 2025; appoint Council member O’Donnell as acting mayor; council appointments to committees and boards approved; approve annual appointments for health officer, animal control, bank depositories, forester, EOP, Newspaper, Attorneys.
Chladek read out loud memo on accomplishments and on-going projects, asked for guidance on continuing to work on various issues.
Updates: many CPR classes being given, 2 new public works will soon take CDL test, PWD working on eastern star structure renovation; Robert W. Bunke family may do a plaque or memorial at Rushford Airport; Fire Relief Assoc. fund raiser coming up 2/8; Seven dept. heads attend meeting on Hazard Mitigation Planning; county-wide plan with specifics for individual cities to prioritize risks, hazards, vulnerability issues and capabilities for mitigation and actions. FEMA requires pre-disaster planning to be eligible for assistance during declared event.
