Members Present: Mayor Benson, Council members O’Donnell, Ryman, Linder. Staff Present: Clerk/Treas. Zacher Absent: Admin Tony Chladek, Council member Volkman
Notices: Mediacom channel change notice, 50th Anniversary EMS Week May 19-25, “Honoring our Past, Forging our Future.” Open house at Creekside well attended. Emergency Ambulance Aid bill passed not as much as expected; estimate for Rushford $84,936, still have paperwork, applications, etc.
Consent Agenda: Approve claims, Public Works Position posted, SEMCAC loan will meet criteria of City Commercial Loan Program; not ready for finalizing paperwork yet.
Adopted of Resolution approving temporary on-sale beer license for Rushford Days Festivities at Creekside Park July 19-21.
Adoption of two Resolutions Approving Sale of Real Property in Rushford and dispensing with review of the sale by the Rushford Planning Commission. Sale of land to Schollmeier and Wittenberg in the Himlie Business Park.
Updates on storm damage and public works clean up and electrical issues; Rushford Sign stone facade complete will move in larger stones; Airport progress photos with floor and side walls up; PWD removed black erosion control pieces left from Hwy 30 project, PWD repaired driveway panel of Grove St. project that had debris coming through; Aquatic Center ready to open with repairs and upgrades completed; Reminder of Susan Hart Memorial Gazebo dedication on 6/6/24 with Hart family, music and snacks; also other library programs and music events scheduled for June/July, covered by grant funds; Lions Partnering for program at the Legion on 6/5/24 for speaker who has visited all the MN State Parks.
