Condensed Regular City Council Meeting Minutes of February 28, 2022

Members Present: Mayor Benson, Council members O’Donnell, Linder, Ryman, Volkman.  Staff Present:   Admin Chladek and Clerk/Treas. Zacher.  

Consent agenda and notices: verified claims and fund summary report;  approve Mierau Enterprises liquor licenses for Nordic Lanes/The Creamery; approve aquatic center lifeguard/WSI advertisement; approve resolution re-establishing polling place for Precinct 155 at City Hall; RPVCC annual meeting handout; information and maps on changes to 1st & 2nd Congressional District redistricting mapping. 

Report from Matt Wagner on Airport status, NPIAS status, hangar bids, state and FAA funding options and planning in progress.

Report from Jason McCaslin, Fillmore County Assessor on process assessors use for determining property tax values and 2022 valuation changes pending for all communities in the County.

Review Annual Water Report of gallons pumped, sold, accounted for and unaccounted for.  Meeting or exceeding DNR goals for unaccounted losses, residential per capita demand, reduction in demand, and peaking factors.

Approve purchase of 82 downtown flower baskets @ $45.00 each from Roger Colbenson

MnDOT opened bids on Hwy 30 project and would take several weeks to review each line item and report back to City when ready to award the contract.
