Updates: Primary Election 8/13/24; Various electric poles being replaced, transformer work completed in Himlie Business Park, repairs to faulty urg in Brooklyn area; MDOT clearing log jam south end bridge, city clearing mud off canoe launch, clearing trees downed in that area and damaged by beavers; older gravel improved road to “the point”, two alley approaches on Maple St. replaced, chip sealing completed, start prep at city garage for asphalt section; PWD helped move bricks for Depot project; trimmed trees on Depot roof; weed whipping and stairs/steps being rebuilt on bluff hiking trail; airport snow cleats on, sidewalk work done, more landscape and asphalt painting yet; fire, police, ambulance building painting completed, purchase paint locally; Rushford Entrance Sign seed and straw down applied for one-time Ambulance Emergency Grant funding; civil defense sirens had annual routine maintenance; annual loss control meeting with League, doing well keeping claims low, Regional Safety meeting participation important.
