Clifford Side obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Clifford O. Eide, 87, of Rushford, Minn., died Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. 

Clifford was born on the family farm in Fremont, Minn., on October 9, 1937, to Julian and Agnes (Jonsgaard) Eide. He was one of 10 children. Clifford was united in marriage to Rosemary (Flak) on July 27, 1957, in Winona, Minn. To this union three children were born. Rosemary preceded Clifford in death. He was a milk hauler, and later a farm commodity hauler until his retirement.

Clifford is survived by his special friend Dannette “Danny” Doschadis, son Michael (Shirley) Eide of Stockton, Minn., daughter Diane Kruger of Winona, and son, Paul Eide of Rushford; 14 grandkids, five great-grandkids, and two great-great-grandkids. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Julian and Agnes, wife Rosemary, siblings Alvin, Lawrence, Milton, Ovedia, Elmer, Norman, Ronald, Maynard and Leona.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Good Shepherd Lutheran Home for the amazing care they provided Clifford. They are also grateful to St. Croix Hospice for their excellent service and care. 

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Clifford will be laid to rest at Whalan Lutheran Cemetery in Whalan, Minn.
