Fillmore County Journal - Charlene Lenz Obituary

Charlene Mae (Elton) Lenz, age 91, formally of Spring Valley, died on Friday, December 11, 2020, at the Zumbrota Care Center in Zumbrota, Minn.

A private family funeral is being held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Spring Valley, Minn., on Wednesday, December 16. 

Charlene was born March 5, 1929 to Melvin and Emma Elton in Harmony, Minn., and united in marriage to Nevin E. Lenz on September 18, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, Minn.

Charlene traveled to Europe and throughout the United States.  She also enjoyed music of all kinds, including Lawrence Welk and the Gaither Vocal Band, Search-a-Word puzzles, making lefsa, graham cracker pie, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her three children:  Karyn (Tom) Hughes of Mantorville, Minn., Mark Lenz of Rochester, Minn., and Janet (Mark) Robling of Chaska, Minn.; three grandchildren: Nicole (Josh) Artis, Kimberly (Albin) Timm and Paige Robling and five great-grandchildren: Olivia and Jocelyn Artis and Asher, Declan and Beau Timm.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Nevin, parents, grandparents, sister Janice, and an infant brother.

Family requests that memorials be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church-Organ Fund or Our Savior’s Lutheran Church-Christmas Good Gifts.
