Cross Country: Chatfield/LARP/GMLOS/LFC Take on SC Invite

The cross-country season is taking shape. The five Journal-covered programs all have kids with realistic shots at state. Volleyball: Gophers Win PI Tourney, Improved to 22-1

It was a reduced week of volleyball on the whole. The TRC had just one day of league games while SEC matches saw top teams handle weaker ones. Spring Grove girls complete season sweep of Schaeffer

Spring Grove served with 95% accuracy while completing a season volleyball sweep of visiting Schaeffer Academy on Sept. 20 with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-8. Seven different SG servers had aces. Spring Grove grilled Grand Meadow, 47-16, on Sept. 24, snapping a four-game losing streak against the Superlarks with a balanced offense – 242 yards rushing, 223 yards passing - and a defense that forced 10 punts while limiting GM to 100 yards of offense.
