Softball: #3 Warriors Pitch Shutout for Week

Up to #3 in the Class AA polls, Caledonia softball downed three opponents on the week without yielding a run.  Hosting W-K, Avery Augedahl struck out 15 in a three-hit shutout (7 IP, 1 BB), a 6-0 win. Softball: Bulldogs Pull 7-Run Comeback

Golf: Trojans Boys Shoot a 151, Improve to 6-0

Defending 1A boys golf champion Rushford-Peterson put up a super low team score and won both of its meets on the week.  Hosting Cotter/Hope Lutheran, Josh Rye’s group put up a 151 to win the match 151 to 176.  It was the lowest round of any Journal-covered team this year (and then some). A couple pitchers from Mabel-Canton performed big feats on the week.  On the baseball diamond, hosting Spring Grove, junior Kale Eiken threw the rare seven-inning no-hitter (3 BB, 11 K) in a 4-0 Cougar win.  Isaac Underbakke (2-4, RBI, 2 R) accounted for three of four M-C runs. Baseball/Softball: Gopher Teams Rally With 7-0 Week
