Carol Wilson obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Carol A. Wilson, 77, of Rushford, Minn., died on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at her home.

Carol Ann Feine was born on Friday, August 24, 1945, to Alfonse and Emma (Neitzke) Feine in La Crosse, Wis. She attended Hart Country School and Lewiston Schools. On April 17, 1961, Carol was united in marriage to Harvey Wilson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hart, Minn. She worked many years at Rush Products and the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Carol enjoyed collecting ceramic roosters, playing word games, gardening and fishing. She was a member of Whalan Lutheran Church in Whalan, Minn.

Carol is survived by two daughters, Vicky Bass of Rushford and Candice Erdner of Bricelyn, Minn.; three grandchildren: Sasha, Leah, and Tyson; six great-grandchildren: Treyden, Kylie, Taylor, Bailey, Matt and Dion; sister Helen Evenson of Rushford, sisters-in-law Carol Irene Feine of Rushford, Winifred Eiken of Canton, Minn., and Sheila Wilson of Spring Grove, Minn.; and a brother-in-law, Donald Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harvey, two grandsons, John Rathai and Matthew Wilson; three siblings: LaValle Helland, Janice Feine, and Pete Edgar Feine; brothers-in-law Robert Evenson, Alvin Helland, David Wilson and Roger Eiken, and son-in-law Dennis ‘‘Fritz’’ Erdner.

There will be a funeral service for Carol at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Whalan Lutheran Church in Whalan, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
