TRC Boys Basketball (12/5)

Fillmore Central 56, #8 in AA Caledonia 92 (C: L. Doyle 19 pts (3-8 threes), 7 rebs, 11 asts, 8 stls; E. Stendel 14 pts, 12 rebs; Mason King 12 pts; Reid Klug 12 pts, 8 rebs; Garrett Konz 10 pts. FC: L. Hellickson 22 pts (4-8 threes). Jayce Kiehne DNP)

PEM 65, Chatfield 53 (C: Carson Harstad 17 pts; Cole Novotny 10 pts. Chatfield led 25-23 at halftime and 38-28 in the second half, but a Bulldog zone defense and Liam Powers’ 20 second half points led PEM to victory)

 

SEC Boys Basketball (12/5 – 12/8)

Lyle/Pacelli 75, Mabel-Canton 66 (M-C: C. Tollefsrud 29 pts, 9 rebs; Isaac Underbakke 18 pts, 7 rebs, 4 stls; Riley Snell 9 pts (5-5 FTs), 5 stls. Tollefsrud broke the M-C boys/girls scoring record, topping Payton Danielson (1,580))

LeRoy-Ostrander 73, Lanesboro 66 (L-O: R. Hungerholt 30 pts (6-8 threes); C. Hungerholt 27 pts (4-10 threes), 8 rebs, 9 asts; Carter Sweeney 10 pts, 12 rebs. L: M. Howard 20 pts (6-14 threes), 6 asts; Lucas Nikoloski 15 pts (3-7 threes); Will Harvey 13 pts. The teams combined for 19 threes in 50 total attempts (L 9 of 27, LO 10 of 23))

Glenville-Emmons 46, Houston 48 (H: Morgan Rohweder 13 pts (3-11 threes), 10 rebs, 5 stls; Carter Geiwitz 13 pts, 7 rebs; Ethan Knutson 11 pts (5-6 FTs), 6 rebs)

Southland 93, Grand Meadow 30 (GM: Tyler Reid 11 pts. Southland led 63-17 at halftime)

Mabel-Canton 45, Southland 81 (M-C: C. Tollefsrud 28 pts, 9 rebs; I. Underbakke 8 pts, 9 rebs. Threes: S 12, M-C 2)

Houston 51, Lyle/Pacelli 66 (H: Zach Olson 18 pts, 5 asts, 4 stls; M. Rohweder 17 pts (3-14 threes), 5 rebs, 4 asts, 4 stls. Hurricanes > 1-2, 1-2)

Lanesboro 58, Glenville-Emmons 64 (L: M. Howard 20 pts, 5 asts, 5 stls; W. Harvey 18 pts. Lanesboro led 42-33 early in the second half, gave up a 19-2 run to trail 52-44. They were 4 of 29 from deep (14%). Burros > 0-2, 0-2)

 

Non-Conference Boys Basketball (12/4 – 12/9)

Rushford-Peterson 69, Schaeffer Academy 30 (R-P: D. Bunke 25 pts (4-8 threes); Sampson Wilkemeyer 8 pts, 5 rebs, 6 stls. It was 48-18 at halftime, 11 Trojans scored, as R-P starts the year 3-0 versus SEC foes)

Fillmore Central 67, Kenyon-Wanamingo 63 (FC: L. Hellickson 26 pts (4-12 threes), 11 rebs, 4 stls; Anthony Kiehne 13 pts (3-6 threes); Greg Kennedy 12 pts, 10 rebs. FC led 21-9 in the first half, trailed 56-45 in the second half. They then went on an 18-1 run to lead 63-57. The teams combined for 19 threes (FC 10, K-W 9). Falcons > 0-1, 1-1)

#8 in AA Caledonia 72, Holmen 57 (C: E. Stendel 16 pts, 17 rebs, 3 blks; L. Doyle 14 pts, 5 asts; R. Klug 16 pts; M. King 13 pts (3-8 threes). Warriors led 45-41 before a 9-2 run made it 54-43 (about 6:00 left))

Postville 76, Grand Meadow 52 (GM: C. Glynn 20 pts, 6 rebs. Decorah Border Battle. GM > 0-2, 0-3)

North Fayette 77, LeRoy-Ostrander 39 (L-O: R. Hungerholt 23 pts (5-8 threes). Decorah Border Battle. L-O > 2-1, 2-2.)

Crestwood 39, Kingsland 60 (K: Jayden Brink 16 pts, 4 stls; Max Erdman 12 pts, 7 rebs; Ayden Howard 7 pts, 7 rebs; Kaaleem Reiland 6 pts, 7 rebs, 5 asts, 4 stls. Decorah Border Battle. Kingsland 0-0, 1-0)

South Winn 59, Mabel-Canton 51 (M-C: C. Tollefsrud 24 pts, 8 rebs; I. Underbakke 16 pts; Tyler Larson 9 pts. South Winn out-scored M-C 20-13 in the fourth quarter, after leading 39-38 entering it. Decorah Border Battle. M-C > 1-2, 1-4)

Osage 45, Chatfield 44 (C: Brayden Fretland 10 pts; Ross Stoehr 9 pts; C. Harstad 8 pts, 4 asts; C. Novotny 7 pts, 7 rebs. Down 44-42 with 0:03 left, Osage (6-0) banked in a three at the buzzer for the win. Decorah Border Battle. Chatfield > 0-1, 0-3)
