Beverly Stoskopf obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Beverly Innetta (Treangen) Stoskopf, age 77, of Rochester, Minn., (formerly of Decorah) passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Samaritan Bethany Home in Rochester, Minn.  

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Decorah Lutheran Church, with Rev. Peter Kowitz presiding.  Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday.  The Helms Funeral Home in Decorah is handling arrangements. 

Beverly Innetta (Treangen) Stoskopf, was born on May 13, 1945, the daughter of Clifford and Ione (Wiste) Treangen, at the Spring Grove Hospital in Spring Grove, Minn. Beverly was baptized in Riceford, Minn., and confirmed in Mabel, Minn. She graduated from Mabel High School in Mabel, Minn., in 1963. She worked at the Spring Grove Hospital for two years before she married Paul Stoskopf on June 19, 1965, at the Decorah Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa. Together they farmed north of Decorah and Bev did daycare in her home for 35 years. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards with her family, along with visiting family and friends. She was a member of the Decorah Lutheran Church. 

Beverly is survived by her five children: Laurie Stoskopf, Rochester, Minn., Vernon (Dee) Stoskopf, Glyndon, Minn., Virgil (Teresa) Stoskopf, Kasson, Minn., Jason Stoskopf, Duluth, Minn., and Justin Stoskopf, West Branch, Iowa; two granddaughters, Ella Stoskopf, Kasson, Minn., and Hayden Stoskopf, West Branch, Iowa; four step-grandchildren: Amy (Jakob) Hanson, Altura, Minn., Sasha (Derek) Holmes, Glyndon, Minn., Forest St Mane, Minneapolis, Minn., and Tanner St Mane, International Falls, Minn.; seven step-great-grandchildren: Ethan, Tayvin, Copper, and Oskar Hanson, Piper and Colton Holmes, and Lily Upton.; one sister-in-law, Jacqulyn (Bill) Grayburn, Holman, Wis., and one brother-in-law and his wife Ronald (Marcia) Stoskopf, Decorah, Iowa.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents Clifford and Ione (Wiste) Treangen, one sister, Carol Treangen, her father and mother-in-law Vernon and Bessie (Foltz) Stoskopf, and brothers-in-law Verl Stoskopf and his wife Francis Stoskopf and Bill Grayburn.
