Fillmore County Journal, Beverly Ann Knutson obituary

Beverly Ann Knutson, 82, of Winona, formerly of  Chatfield, Minn., passed away at her home on October 4, 2018.

Beverly was born on May 16, 1936, to George and Marie (Caukins) Allen in Rochester.   She graduated from Rochester High School in 1954 and later Minneapolis School of Arts.  In her summer months she worked at Glacier National Park in Montana.

In 1957 she married Allen Knutson at Calvary Episcopal Church.  The couple farmed near Chatfield before moving to Winona in 2001.

Beverly  enjoyed embroidery, quilting, playing cards, the WWW Square Dancing Club, and polka dances.  She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting Spain and Washington, DC.  She was a fan of the Vikings and enjoyed playing bingo.

Beverly was active member of Chatfield Lutheran Church.  She was a Sunday School volunteer and enjoyed regularly attending services.

Bev is survived by her husband Allen and her three children: Kim of Rochester, Jay of Winona, and Ross (Jenny) of Cottage Grove; and three grandchildren: Meghan, Sarah and Nathan. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Lois.

The funeral service for Beverly will be held at Chatfield Lutheran Church on Thursday October 11, 2018, at 11 a.m.  Pastor Mark Docken will officiate.  The committal service will follow at Chatfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at at the Chatfield Lutheran Church one hour prior to the service.
