Fillmore County Journal - Betty (Hanson) Snitker obituary

Betty (Hanson) Snitker, 71, of Jamestown, N. Dak., died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at her home in Jamestown.  Betty Lou Hanson was born April 15, 1956, in Preston, Minn., to Ralph and Frances (Shaw) Hanson.  She received her education in Preston, Minn., until moving to Rochester, Minn., to be a nanny.  Betty then moved to Northfield, Minn., to work at the Scheldahl factory before moving to Jamestown in 1971.  Betty and Clayton Snitker were married September 10, 1982, in Jamestown, where their home has been since.  Clayton died December 12, 2001.  Betty was also employed at Dynamics Marketing, Inc. and drove a cab for Buffalo City Cab company in Jamestown.

Betty is survived by her son  Brian Hanson, Jamestown; granddaughter Madison Skorick, Jamestown; adopted daughter Susan Trecker, Jamestown; adopted granddaughter Megan Trecker, Jamestown; sister Carolyn Weber, Byron, Minn.; sister-in-law Gudrun Hanson, Hopewell, Va.; and special friends, Denise and Dale Scherman, Ottertail, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, mother-in-law Ruby Anderson, four sisters: Phyllis Hanson, Lorraine Hanson, Donna (Hanson) Gerard and Shirley (Hanson) Walderon; three brothers: Ralph Hanson, Robert Hanson and an infant brother.

Betty’s wishes were to not have a service.

Eddy Funeral Home of Jamestown, N. Dak., was in charge of arrangements.
