La Crescent/Hokah 9, Fillmore Central/Lanesboro 0 (LCH: Kale Baker 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K, 3-3, 2 RBI. A trio of Lancer pitchers surrendered just three hits in the Falcons’ season opener. FCL > 0-1, 0-1)

Caledonia 10, Cotter 3 (Cal: Owen Denstad 2-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R; Will Allen 2-3, 2B, RBI, 3 R; Drew Yahnke 5 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 6 K, Win; Garrett Konz 1-4, 2 R; Ben Stemper 2-2, R; Tanner Ginther 1-4, 2 RBI; Landon O’Heron 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, Win. Warriors > 1-0, 1-1)

Southeast Conference Baseball (4/5)

Lyle/Pacelli 5, Houston 0 (H: Morgan Rohweder 3 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 K, 1-3. The Hurricanes got one hit in their season opener versus the defending section champs and state runner-up Athletics. A trio of ‘Cane pitchers, Rohweder, Logan Olson and Carter Geiwitz did combine for 14 strikeouts versus just seven hits given-up. Houston > 0-1, 0-1) 

Non-Conference Baseball (4/5)

Caledonia 0, Zumbrota-Mazeppa 4 (C: G. Konz 5 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 5 K, Loss. ZM: Hudson Ohm 7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 15 K, Win. Cougar pitcher Ohm tossed a no-hitter in the Warriors season-opener, allowing just one base-runner (walk))

Pine Island 13, Chatfield 2 (C: Caden Boyum 1-3, R; Westin Nolte 1-3, R; Carter Schlink 3 1/3 IP, 7 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, Loss. The Panthers scored five runs in both the fourth and seventh innings in the Gophers’ season-opener. Chatfield > 0-0, 0-1)
