A memorial service to honor the life of Barbara Austin, 85, longtime Mabel resident and teacher at Mabel-Canton, will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 4, 2021, at Mabel United Methodist Church. A visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 3 at the Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel. Inurnment will be in the Newburg Methodist Cemetery.
Memorials will be used to set up a Barbara Austin Memorial Scholarship at Mabel-Canton High School.
