Arlo James Habben, 68, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – St. Marys Campus in Rochester.
Arlo was born August 10, 1949, in Albert Lea, Minn., to Herbert and Eileen (Kaiser) Habben. He grew up in Waldorf, Minn.
Arlo served his county in the Navy. He was stationed in Virginia Beach, Va., and later, Iceland.
Arlo enjoyed working on Bd5 Airplanes and attending air shows. He made many overseas trips exploring the world.
He worked in agriculture engineering helping farmers to design their dairy operations. In 1995 he started SMAES.
Arlo is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jami Habben of Austin, Tex., and grandchildren Chance and Kyla Douglas. His business partner and friend Tim Cepelak, of Stewartville, also survives.
Arlo is preceded in death by his parents.
Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston.
