Ardell “Terry” Bigalk

April 15, 2024 by Fillmore County Journal

Ardell Terry Biglak obituary, Fillmore County Journal

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved bother, Ardell Terry Bigalk. Terry left us on April 7, 2024, at the age of 67, in his home in Parachute, Colo.

Terry was born on October 31, 1956, in Cresco Iowa, where he joined his four older siblings on the family farm. Starting his education in a one room school house, he graduated from Crestwood High School in 1975. He later pursued his passion for motorcycles and went on to become a specialized Harley Davidson mechanic, first in Santa Maria, Calif., and then in Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction, Colo.

Terry actually had a Harley parked in the middle of his living room floor. He got away with this because he wasn’t married. He lived life his way – and that’s something we can’t all claim.

“Terry was quiet, he was kind, and he had a great heart.”

RIP sweet brother, and enjoy all those reunions up there!

Terry is survived by his brother Manley Bigalk and wife Linda, Cresco, Iowa; sister Ann Fabre and husband Carl, Austin, Tex.; nieces Trisha Johnston, Spanish Fort, Ala.; Melissa Barker, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Heidi Bigalk, Ridgeway, Iowa; Paige Colsch, Canton, Minn.; Abbie Loeffler, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Becky Skoog, Austin, Tex.; nephew Tracy Colsch, Adams, Minn.; and many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Gladys Bigalk, brother Larry and sister Gayleen.

The family would like to thank Randy Ross, Terry’s friend, and Abode Hospice for their friendship and comfort.

There will be a private service for the family at a later date.
