America

America. Our home, family, and nation. The beautiful coun¬try where we live. So many people helped shape America into what it is today. Our found¬ing fathers, all of our presidents, and everyone that lives in this wonderful country.
George Washington is our main founder. Out of everyone in the United States, he was chosen to be our first presi¬dent. I believe he was one of our greatest generals. He hoped America would have a strong government. If I could ask him anything, I would ask him what he thought our country would be like today. I thank him for leading us through the Revolu¬tionary War and being a great president. I believe he was a great choice for America’s first leader.
Thomas Jefferson was Amer¬ica’s third president. He wrote most of the Declaration of Inde¬pendence, which led to the inde¬pendence of our country. He led to the expansion of our country through the Louisiana Purchase. His vision was to expand the U.S. across the entire North American continent. I believe the things he did were very important to our country. If I could talk to Thomas Jefferson, I would thank him for mak¬ing the Louisiana Purchase. By doing this he helped make the America we know today.
These presidents are just a few of the people who helped shape America. There are so many other men and women who contributed to making the America we know today. I love America and am glad that it’s my home.
