Allan Walter Dahl, 81, of Rushford, Minn., died on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wis.
Allan was born on December 26, 1938, in Rushford, to Walter and Tena (Jameson) Dahl. He graduated from Rushford High School. On July 7, 1956, Allan was united in marriage with Marion Engrav. He worked hauling canned and bulk milk for seven years. He worked in road construction for Woodrich for 17 years and for Denton for 23 years. Allan retired for health reasons in 1999. He was a member of Highland Prairie Lutheran Church where he was also on the church board and was an usher. Allan loved NASCAR, cooking and was known for his famous scalloped potatoes. He enjoyed the Twins and the Vikings, feeding the birds, playing scratch off games, and crossword puzzles.
Allan is survived by his wife, three sons, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and six siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law.
There will be a family graveside service held in the spring at Highland Prairie Lutheran Cemetery in rural Peterson, Minn.
