Sealed bids will be received on or before Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 1:00pm local time at the Chatfield Public School District Office, located at 205 Union Street NE, Chatfield, MN 55923. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at that time and place in a large group room onsite.
Pre-Bid Meeting

A pre-bid meeting will be held on site on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 11:00am. Please meet outside the main high school entry doors.
Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting onsite.
Summary of Work
The work consists of new parking lot bituminous pavement, existing parking lot bituminous mill and overlay, concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, water and storm sewer extensions, grading and parking lot lighting.

Bid Submittal
Bid must be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the Bidders name and Work Scope.
Please use the provided bid form to submit your bid.
Include a bid security in the form of cashier’s check, bid bond, or certified check. Include Responsible Contractor Verification form.
Include wage rates form.

Security
Each bidder must accompany their bid with a cashier’s check, bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the amount of the base bid payable to the Owner as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract with the Owner for the work described. If any bidder refuses or fails to execute and deliver the contract and bonds required with in ten days after they receive notice of acceptance of their bid, the Owner will retain the bid security as liquidated damages, but not as a penalty.
Performance and Payment Bond
Each successful bidder will be required to furnish a “Performance Bond” and “Labor and Materials Payment Bond” each in the full amount of the contract by a surety approved by the Owner. Please include the bond costs in your bid and provide a breakout cost as noted on the bid form.
Wage Determination Requirements
Minnesota prevailing wage statues do NOT apply to this work.
Consideration of Bids
The bidder acknowledges the rights of the owner to reject any and all bids, accept any bid, waive informalities in bids submitted, and waive minor discrepancies in bidding procedures, as deems to be in the best interest of the owner. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days.
Sales Tax-Exempt
It is the intent of the owner to take advantage of their sales tax-exempt status. Please exclude sales tax from materials only.
