At the Sub-1 track and field meet, RPH’s Chace Drazkowski won both throw events, setting the meet record in the Shot (55’10 ½”). LFCMC’s Parker Krage set the record in the Pole Vault (12’9”). Cal/SG’s Coby Hammell surpassed a meet record in the 100 (11.17). On the girls’ side, RP/H’s Aubry Boldt won three events (Triple Jump – 36’7 ½”; Long Jump – 18’0 ½”; 110-hurdles), setting jump records. Caitlin Bauer (3,200 – 11:05.23; 1,600 – 5:14.68) and Emily Helgemoe (800– 2:19.41) and also surpassed records.  For LFCMC, Autumn Rakosnik (1,600 – 5:26.77) surpassed a previous meet record. C/SG’s Finley Wait won two events (100, 200) and surpassed a previous record in the 400 (1:01.01).  At the Sub-2 meet, GMLOKS’ Tate Goergen set the 800 record (1:50.60) and had two first places (800, 4×400).  The 4×400 (Nathaniel Drees, Hunter Hyde, Carter Glynn, Goergen) also set a meet record (3:27.40). The GMLOKS girls won their side of the meet, as Breeley Galle (100-H, 300-hurdles, T-Jump, 4×100) had four first places and Avery Payne (P-Vault) broke a meet record (9’7”). Chatfield’s Savannah Peterson had three firsts (200, L-Jump, 4×200) at the same event while the 4×400 (Adelia Goldsmith, Lexi Kivimagi, Lillie Stejskal, Adeline Schild) took second but surpassed a meet record (4:14.25).  Mabel-Canton (7-seed) softball won two playoff games, topping SG (10-seed) in the first round 3-2. Tylar Wenthold struck out 11 to collect the win.  Claire Sherburne struck out 14 (but walked 7) in taking the loss.  M-C then lost to Southland (2-seed) 10-6 only to beat Faribault B.A. (11-seed) 8-5.  M-C overcame a 5-2 deficit with a six-run bottom of the sixth.  Tori Snyder had a three-run triple for the game-winning RBI. Wenthold struck out 11.  The Cougars season (13-11) ended with a loss to W-K 13-6.   In first round playoff baseball, Caledonia topped Chatfield 7-0.  The 4th-seeded Warriors then fell to 5-seed Pine Island 2-1 in the second round (but are still alive).  Levi Rogers struck out 10 but 14-seed FC/L fell to 3-seed Lake City by walk-off fashion 3-2.  Chatfield guys golf but 37s from medalists Carson Harstad and Carter Ask to beat PEM and L-A 162 to 165 to 182, giving the Gophers (9-1 TRC/overall) a share of the TRC-West title with the Bulldogs (9-1 TRC).  The girls also swept that triangular to finish 8-2 in the TRC/overall.  R-P’s girls golf beat La Crescent/Hokah 208 to 214 to finish their best season in over a decade at 6-2 in the TRC, 10-2 overall.
