The TRC-East boys’ regular season and TRC Meet golf champions are the Rushford-Peterson Trojans. Coached by Luke Rye, team members are (left to right) Jace Dvorak, Gus Hoiland, Will LaFleur, Sam LaFleur, Kellen Drinkall, and Jaxson Meldahl. R-P is 11-0 overall on the year with three tourney wins.

In the span of three days, Rushford-Peterson boys golf completed a clean sweep of the TRC-East to grab the division title.  Then Luke Rye’s guys won the TRC Meet itself to be dual champions. In their last head-to-head match of the year, R-P topped La Crescent/Hokah 163 to 167.  The Lancers had the medalists in Charlie Wieser and Landen Tully (37s).  But their third and fourth golfers, Cooper Johnston (44) and Lucas Rytilahti (49), could not keep with their R-P counterparts. Will LaFleur (39) led the Trojans followed by brother Sam (40), then Kellen Drinkall and Jace Dvorak (42s). Jaxson Meldahl (43) and Gus Hoiland (48) also shot sub-50 as the par-36 Valley High golf course. R-P finishes the regular season with an 8-0 TRC mark, 11-0 overall.  At the TRC Meet, the Trojans (321) topped nearest foe Cotter (336). PEM (338), LC/H (350), Chatfield (350), W-K (354), FC (359), L-A (361), St. Charles (380), D-E (383), and

Caledonia (391) followed. Chatfield junior Carson Harstad (38/37 > 75) shot a four-over-par to grab the medalist position. R-P’s four scoring golfers all finished top five.  Meldahl (42/37 > 79) was runner-up, Drinkall (40/40 > 80) tied for third, Will (40/41 > 81) and Sam LaFleur (40/41 > 81) tied for fifth. Dvorak (84) took 13th place. FC’s top golfer Brody Srsen (86) took 17th while Gopher Carter Ask (89) tied for 20th (of 65 total golfers).  The event was held at the 18-hole par-71 Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester.  A year ago, LCH (315) took first while R-P (337) took second.  Notably, Gopher Harstad (79) took third individually, Falcon Srsen (80) fourth.
