Guys shooting sub-40 non-tourney golf rounds on the week were R-P’s Jaxson Meldahl (39, 37, 39) and Will LaFleur (39), Chatfield’s Carson Harstad (34) and Carter Ask (38), Lanesboro’s Jack Brogle (36), GMLO’s Lincoln Lunning (37), and Houston’s Nolan Nelson (37), Girls shooting sub-42 rounds were Caledonia’s Jazzlyn Hauser (39), Lanesboro’s Addison McCabe (39, 39), R-P’s Adalyn Colbenson (40), and Chatfield’s Brynn Tweten (41).  R-P’s boys are 7-0 TRC and 10-0 overall with one match left. Avery Augedahl struck out 15 as #3 in AA Caledonia softball topped LC/H 3-0. Elsa Blum homered and Augedahl struck out 15 more pitching a one-hitter as the Warriors beat R-P 10-0 to complete a clean sweep (15-0) of the TRC.  Caledonia then had a 17-game win streak snapped by Cannon Falls in a 1-0 loss.  Augedahl struck out 12.  Brielle Schneider homered as R-P beat Triton 8-1. In Section 1AA playoffs, #3 in AA Caledonia (15-0 TRC, 21-2 overall) is the 1-seed, hosts either 17-seed FC/L (1-19) or 16-seed Triton (3-16). R-P (1-14 TRC, 4-17 overall) is the 15-seed, plays at 2-seed Chatfield (14-6). GMLOK (4-8 SEC, 6-11 overall) is the 14-seed, plays at 3-seed Cotter/HL (16-6).    Tylar Wenthold pitched back-to-back five-inning no-hitters, recording all 15 outs by strikeout in game one, striking out 10 in game two, as M-C topped Schaeffer 11-0 and 10-0. The senior also had 13 strikeouts in a 4-3 Cougar win over Faribault B.A.  Brailyn Gulbranson drove in five runs and Claire Sherburne struck out 11 as SG topped Schaeffer 13-4 in game two of a doubleheader. Gulbranson was 6-for-7 in the series with four extra base hits and 8 RBI.  Sherburne, an 8th grader, struck out 18 including the 300th of her career, but the Lions fell to Goodhue 2-1 in 12 innings.   In 1A playoffs, SG (5-6, 7-9) is the 10-seed, will play at 7-seed M-C (8-4, 11-9). Tyson Ginther hit a home run and pitched a two-hit shutout as Caledonia baseball topped W-K 7-0.  Ginther was then 4-for-5, Jack Schmitz struck out 11 and got the win, as the Warriors beat Rochester John Marshall 15-0.  In Section 1AA playoffs, the Warriors (9-6 TRC, 13-8) are 1AA’s 4-seed, host 13-seed Chatfield (9-11).  R-P (8-7 TRC, 12-12 overall) is the 12-seed, plays at 5-seed Pine Island (12-9). GMLOK (3-9 SEC, 14-4 overall) is the 16-seed, plays at 1-seed Cotter/HL (19-3). Everybody in 1AA has at least eight losses except the Ramblers.  Brevyn Tollefsrud hit a home run as M-C topped Schaeffer 17-5 in game one of a doubleheader.  In game two, Milton Hutchinson hit a home run and drove in four, Nolan Garness was 4-for-4 and drove in five, as the Cougars won 13-4. Isaac Underbakke went 5-for-6 as M-C then beat Houston 17-7. Archer Semling and Axel Vix each homered but Houston fell to SG 17-10.  Colton Van Gundy homered but the ‘Canes fell to Southland 18-1.  In Section 1A playoffs, M-C (8-4 SEC, 11-10 overall) is the 11-seed, plays at 6-seed USC (13-6).  SG (3-9 SEC, 4-12 overall) is the 14-seed, plays at 3-seed Blooming Prairie (13-6). Houston (3-9 SEC, 3-16 overall) is the 16-seed, plays at 1-seed NRHEG (11-5).  Every team in 1A had at least five losses save Southland. At the RPH track and field meet, Chace Drazkowski won both throw events.  At the Chatfield Meet, Gopher Ross Stoehr had four top four finishes including winning the 300-hurdles and High Jump.
