Golf: Burro Teams Win SEC Regular Season Titles

Golf teams from Lanesboro each posted wins in their last two SEC matches.   Doing so allowed each to win the regular season league titles.  At the par-35 Lanesboro course, the boys beat GMLO 175 to 189 behind Jack Brogle’s 36.  Corbin Reinhardt (43), Ben Lawstuen (46), Ashton Hanson (47), Blake Klaehn (49), Collin Klaehn (49), and Jack Lawston (49) also shot sub-50. GMLO’s top golfers were Lincoln Lunning (41), Graham Eastlee (47), Keegan Lunning (49), and Tyler Farlinger (50). The guys then topped Houston 173 to 187 at the par-35 Valley High course.  Nine total Burros shot sub-50; Brogle (41), B-Klaehn (42), Hanson (43), Lawstuen (46), Lawston (47), C-Klaehn (47), Ian Horihan (49), Jack Brown (49), and Sawyer Wolfs (50).  Hurricane Nolan Nelson (37) was the medalist followed by Lucas Burt (45) and Colten Franzwa (50). The girls beat GMLO 202 to 225. Addison McCabe (45) was medalist followed by Jentrey Schreiber (46) and Grace Tufte (47). Gabby Tangren (46) led GMLO.   Lanesboro topped Houston 185 to incomplete.  McCabe shot a 39 to medal.  Schreiber (42), Tufte (49), and Prailey Willford (55) followed.  Addie Kruse (51) led Houston, whose team are both 1-8 in the SEC, 1-10 overall.  The Burros girls also beat Stewartville 192 to 205 at home.  McCabe again was medalist (39) followed by Scheiber (44) and Tufte (51).  Anna Howe (48), Lauren Ferrie (51), Julia Ferrie (52), Emma Riha (54), and Emily House (54) led the Tigers.   The Burros guys are 10-0 in the SEC, 10-1 overall.  The girls are 9-1 in the SEC, 10-1 overall.
