May 26, 2026 by Paul Trende Leave a Comment

For the ninth straight competed year, LFCMC’s girls made the state True Team meet. Maybe their top athlete was Autumn Rakosnik. The sophomore had three top 10 individual finishes at the 1A and State True Team meets including finishing fifth at sections and second at state in the above 1,600-meters (photo from sections).

Girls track and field teams from LFCMC and GMLOKS took on the 2026 State Class A True meet at Eden Prairie High School.  For the first time since pre-COVID, an area squad did not finish top three. Holdingford (544.5) topped PACT/Legacy Academy (487.5) and Concordia Academy (459) for the state title. GMLOKS (404) took ninth and LFCMC (353) 11th place (of 12). The Burros were the 1A champ while GMLOKS was the first Wild Card team.  Leading Aaron Thauwald’s group was senior Breeley Galle (4th 100-hurdles, 4th Triple Jump, 5th 300-hurdles), who had all three of GMLOKS’ individual top five finishes. Keira Stier had three individual top 10 finishes (7th High Jump, 9th 100 and 200). Also individually finishing in the five-to-10 range were Gracie Foster (6th 100-hurdles), Avery Payne (6th P-Vault), Naomi Warmka (8th 1,600), Kloe Meyer (9th Shot), and Caisa Kolling (9th Discus).  The top relay was the 6th place 4×100 (Lydia Redman, Brynlee Koenigs, Amelia McCabe, Foster). For Lori Anderson’s LFCMC group, Autumn Rakosnik was the top individual with three top 10 finishes (2nd 1,600, 7th-tie Pole Vault, 8th 800), the team’s highest placing.  Elizabeth Clarke (4th-tie P-Vault) had the other top five finish.  Charlotte Ferrie (6th Long Jump, 8th 100) had two individual top 10s. Also finishing in the five-to-10 range were Ava Larson (6th T-Jump), Hannah Vaalemoen (7th 200), Grace Kingsley (8th 3,200), Kyla Hellickson (8th H-Jump – tie), and Olivia Rindels (10th 400). The 4×800 (Madilyn Zwart, G-Kinglsey, Stella Charlebois, Lillyan Kiehne) was the top relay, taking fourth place.
