Jack Schmitz struck out 11 and got the win as the Warriors (7-6 TRC, 10-6 overall) topped FC/L 6-3. Levi Rogers homered, struck out 11, and got the win at FC/L baseball beat L-A 3-1. Chatfield beat FC/L 10-3 for the Gophers (6-6 TRC, 8-10 overall) fifth straight win, eighth in 10 games. Chatfield softball beat FC/L 16-1 and Glencoe-Silver Lake 9-5 to run its win streak to seven. Brynn Horsman (4 RBI), Makenna Dornack, and Olivia Karver all homered in the latter. Dornack homered in an 8-3 win over Kimball Area. The Gophers (9-2 TRC, 11-6 overall) lead the TRC-West over St. Charles (9-3, 12-8) and D-E (8-4, 11-5). Claire Sherburne hit two home runs with 7 RBI and pitched the win, while Brailyn Gulbranson also homered, as SG topped GMLOK 18-2. Ella Halverson was 4-for-5 with a homer, Sadie Tollefsrud and Isabelle Torgerson each drove in four, and Tylar Wenthold struck out 11, as M-C topped GMLOK 16-3. Top team-versus-team male golf rounds on the week were Chatfield’s Carson Harstad (even-par 36), Lanesboro’s Jack Brogle (37), R-P’s Sam LaFleur (39) and Will LaFleur (39); the top female round was Lanesboro’s Addison McCabe (39). Brogle also took first (40/38 > 70) at the W-K Tourney, 19th (39/38 > 77) at the mostly AA/AAA Rochester Tourney. FC’s Brody Srsen (38/41 > 79) and R-P’s Jaxson Meldahl (41/38 > 79) took second and tied for third at Wabasha. The Trojans boys (7-0 TRC/overall) were team champs. McCabe (42/39 > 81) tied for first at the Stewie Tourney. Caledonia’s Jazzlyn Hauser (41/42 > 83) tied for sixth at the Byron Tourney. Caledonia’s girls are 7-0, 11-0. Lanesboro’s boys are 8-0 in the SEC, 8-1 overall; the girls are 7-1, 7-1. Chatfield’s boys are 6-1 TRC/overall.
