A new boutique has opened in Harmony, Minn., that has local residents excited about some new options for not only quality clothing, but so much more.

Charming Farmer Boutique opened its doors at 44 Main Ave. N. on March 5, 2026.  Although Charming Farmer Boutique is a new business, it may seem familiar, and the smiling faces of the owners may be well-known.

Longtime friends Amanda Heibel and Becky Jones are also the owners of Farm Charm, which is located right across the street.

After purchasing the Farm Charm building in 2022 and opening that business which is “kind of candle, coffee, home décor store,” explained Heibel, it became obvious that customers wanted more.

In January 2025 they added space in the back room of Farm Charm to sell clothing.  “It was going really, really well,” noted Jones.

“There was a need in Harmony for a new boutique for clothes,” added Heibel.

The pair wanted more space for clothes but did not want to sacrifice space at Farm Charm to offer clothing. But it was always at the back of their mind.

In April 2025, Jones ran into the owners of the old pharmacy building across the street, Mike and Julie Sogla.

She asked how it was progressing to find someone to rent the space, and was told they were not having any luck.

Jones and Heibel took the weekend to think about the possibility of renting the building, crunched some numbers, and by the end of the weekend they decided to go for it.

The Charming Farmer began greeting customers after a lot of planning and work in between deciding to rent the building and actually opening the doors.

The interior had been gutted, so that new renters could choose the finishes they liked and make the space their own. “We got to help pick out all the furnishings. They let us help pick out the colors and the flooring and stuff like that,” explained Jones. “It was really a great partnership; they have been fabulous landlords in that regard.”

They have hired Ava Christopherson as a full-time manager to run Charming Farmer, which eases their burden quite a bit and they are grateful for all of her help.

Charming Farmer has a wide variety of clothing, shoes, accessories and more. Ariat brand western wear is available as well as name-brand denim such as Vervet and Kan Cans which are very “in” right now.

“We are trying to make sure we have everything to build an outfit … we have the tops, the bottoms, the shoes, the purses, the hairclips, and the earrings,” explained Heibel, who also noted, “We have really been going deep into skin care; we sell a lot of that.”

“We do have our own fragrance here, it’s only located here and it’s called the Charming Farmer. People love it; it’s been popular,” noted Jones.

You’ll also find The Falcon’s Nest in the back of the store, with Fillmore Central Falcons’ apparel for sale.

Jones and Heibel currently have eight employees, and they will also hire one intern for the summer.

Private sip n’ shop events are available to groups, and those groups may get some sneak previews before they are available to the public.

Store hours are 10-5 Tuesday through Friday, 10-2 Saturday, and 9-1 Sunday. Shopping is also available online 24/7 through the website farmcharm19.com. For more information and to find upcoming events, phone 507-886-1770 or visit the store’s social media platforms.
