Spring Grove senior Mitchell Reynolds turns up-field past Lyle/Pacelli’s David Christianson behind a de-cleating block from teammate Cameron Kraus. The 13-yard gain set up a go-ahead touchdown in the Lions’ 36-22 win over the Athletics.

L-O 29, Nicollet 18 (LO: C. Johnson 22-125, TD rushing, 3-10, 50 yards, INT passing; I. Collier 23-126, 2 TDs rushing, 2-25 receiving; Peyton Roe 9-76, TD rushing.  Cardinals scored in every quarter, leading 14-6 at halftime and 21-12 after three) 

SG 36, L/P 22 (SG (3-2) won at L/P (2-3) with a second-half shutout. The Athletics had only 23 yards of offense in the second half after 206 yards before halftime. The Lions won the turnover battle, 2 to 5. L/P led at halftime, 22-21. But three plays into the second half, an interception set up the SG go-ahead TD. Isaac Griffin ran for two TDs (4-yards, 1-yard), kicked 4 extra points, and completed 8 of 21 passes for 76 yards and 2 TDs (14 yards each to Carson Gavin and Caden Grinde). Hunter Holland returned a kickoff 79 yards for the first Lion TD. For L/P, Cole Walter completed 12 of 27 (163 yards, 2 TDs) but was intercepted three times.
