Fillmore County Journal
In late January 2026, the Minnesota Newspaper Association hosted their 159th Annual Awards Banquet and Conference in Brooklyn Park. Ellen Whalen and I had the privilege to represent our newspaper and attend the three day conference. Big conversations over the weekend were about how important local news is and how we are trusted by all of our readers to share unbiased and fair reporting. We are honored to serve this area.
There are over 200 daily and weekly newspapers spanning the 87 counties that make up the State of Minnesota.
Out of the 4,102 entries from all newspapers in the state, the Fillmore County Journal earned eight awards in the categories of advertising, editorial, and online presence.
