In 1984 they bought Mayvis’s home farm where they lived the rest of their 63 years together until Fritz’s death in 2009. She remained on the farm until she was 93, when she moved into assisted living.

During her life, Mayvis was active in her community and held offices and memberships in the Pilot Mound Lutheran Church, Pilot Mound Township, Farm Bureau, 4-H, and Homemakers club. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed many types of needlework and quilting.

She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses: Barbara (Larry) Berge, Chatfield, Minn., and Janet (Terry) Stotts, Lake Oswego, Oreg.; five grandchildren: Brent (Jamie) Todd, Kelly (Nathen) Nesler, Rebecca (Adam) Arnes, Jordan (Danielle) Berge and Landon (Bria) Berge; 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many neighbors whom she considered family.
