Doris Louise Botcher, age 91, of Houston, Minn., passed away November 18, 2021, at Claddaugh Memory Care, Caledonia, Minn. Doris was born May 4, 1930, in Buckholts, Tex., to James and Mabel (Cross) McCrummen. She married Gerald Botcher June 6, 1953, in Caledonia, Minn. Gerald passed away March 14, 2016.
Doris was an active volunteer in Houston. She was honored to be the parade marshall for Houston Hoedown Days and was known for her delicious pies. She helped with Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Methodist Church in Hokah, Minn.
She is survived by her children Jerry (Deborah) Botcher of Houston, Minn., Patricia (John) Ward of Santa Fe, N. Mex., and Karen (Buddy) Cocks of Lone Oak, Tex; five grandchildren: Jason (Amy) Botcher, Judd (Anna) Botcher, John Botcher, Hunter Ward, and Kacie (Billy) Mercer; five great-grandchildren: Gage, Brady, Peyton, Colton, and Quinnlyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 15 siblings.
A memorial service is planned for the spring of 2022.
