GMLOKS Teams Sweep Home Meet

For a fourth time this year, GMLOKS girls track and field won a meet. For a third time, the boys did so, as each swept a home event. The girls (265) topped Blooming Prairie (71.5), Hayfield (70.33), L/P (57), K-W/Goodhue (54.5), RACE (51.66), and Randolph (34). Chantle Reiland (100 > 12.80), Brynlee Koenigs (200 > 28.96), Brynna Nelson (400 > 1:06.78), Breeley Galle (100-hurdles > 16.30), Lauren Queensland (High Jump > 5’0”), Amelia McCabe (Pole Vault > 9’0”), Gracie Foster (Triple Jump > 34’2 ¾”), Kloe Meyer (Shot Put > 35’0 ½”), and Caisa Kolling (Discus > 87’7”) all won events. It was C-Reiland’s fourth 100-meter first in four races. Four relays also were the fastest, the 4×100 (52.61 > Lydia Redman, Reiland, Avery Stroup, Koenigs), 4×200 (1:56.90 > Redman, Amelia McCabe, Stroup, Emma Lewison), 4×400 (4:32.19 > Nelson, Galle, Lewison, Rylee Holst), and 800-meter medley (2:03.92 > Chloe Drury-DeBoer, Jill Moore, Holst, Nelson). A second 4×200 team (Jill Moore, Mya Walerak, Kiera Eickhoff, Victoria Knode) took second. Stroup (P-Vault), Galle (T-Jump), Holst (400), Foster (300-H), and Keira Steir (200) also took second. Galle (300-H), Foster (100-H), and Kolling (Shot) also added third places. On the guys’ side, GMLOKS (192) topped nearest foes BP (93.33) and RACE (85.33). Zach Reiland (110-hurdles > 16.88; 300-hurdles > 42.04) swept the hurdles. Kaaleem Reiland (100 > 11.82), Nathaniel Drees (200 > 25.10), Bently Wiersma (Long Jump > 19’5”), Rowan Sween (Discus > 134’4”), and the 4×100 (45.72 > Z-Reiland, Kaleb Yunker, Bently Wiersma, K-Reiland) also took first. Wiersma (Triple Jump -tie), K-Reiland (Long Jump), Sween (Shot) added second places. Carter Glynn (800, Triple Jump -tie) had two seconds. Ethan Schammel (High Jump), Brede Nelson (Pole Vault), and the 4×400 (Gavin Hubka, Glynn, Drees, Hunter Hyde) also took second. Obadiah Watson (Shot, Discus) had two thirds.

Track and Field (4/21 – 4/25)

PEM Verne Herman Meet (Stewartville’s boys (167) topped Pine Island (110), LFCMC (54), and PEM (49). Stewie’s girls (154) took first over PI (127.66), LFCMC (63) and PEM (49.33). LFCMC boys’ firsts: Greg Kennedy (200 > 23.09) and Andrew Brown (3,200 > 10:53.81). Kennedy added a second (High Jump) and a third (Triple Jump). Jaxon Huntington (1,600) took second. LFCMC girls’ firsts: Autumn Rakosnik (1,600 > 5:16.78) and the 4×400 (4:21.21 > Kinley Soiney, Hannah Vaalemoen, Rakosnik, Lillyan Kiehne). Ella Halverson (400), Maddie Zwart (800), and Elizabeth Clarke (Pole Vault) took second. The LFCMC coed 4×200 relay (1:40.74 > Adrian Rindels, L-Kiehne, Kennedy, Soiney) also took first. In prep for the Hamline Elite Meet, GMLOKS’s Tate Goergen also competed, winning the 800-meters (1:53.50), breaking his own program-record.) 

La Crosse-Logan Meet (La Crosse Logan’s boys (227) topped Arcadia (145) for first with Caledonia/Spring Grove (66) taking fifth of six teams. Logan’s girls (192) topped nearest foe La Crescent/Hokah (107). C/SG took (51) sixth (of six). Tomah and G-E-T also competed. Cal/SG boys’ firsts: Eli Staggemeyer (100 > 11.95) and Fischer Wait (200 > 22.66). Owen Staggemeyer (100, 200) had two seconds. The 4×100 (Dash Ranzenberger, Noah Schroeder, O-Staggemeyer, E-Staggemeyer) and 4×200 (Ranzenberger, Easton Rask, Schroeder, Charlie Mauss) took second. C/SG girls’ firsts: Nicole Banse (Long Jump > 16’3”), the 4×100 (52.33 > Chloe Lange, Sienna Augedahl, Kamrin Theis, Banse), and 4×200 (1:49.99 > same as 4×100) teams)

Chatfield Meet (LFCMC’s girls (99.50) topped St. Charles (84), Chatfield (62.50), and Lewiston-Altura (33). SC’s boys (151) topped Chatfield (52.33), L-A (41.16), and LFCMC (40.50). LFCMC girls’ firsts: Lillyan Kiehne (400 > 1:02.16), Sahara Morken (800 > 2:39.47), Kyla Hellickson (High Jump – tie > 4’10”), Elizabeth Clarke (Pole Vault – tie > 9’0”), the 4×200 (1:56.49 > Olivia Rindels, Ella Halverson, Aubrey Daniels, Hannah Vaalemoen), the 4×400 (4:20.52 > Kinley Soiney, Autumn Rakosnik, Halverson, Kiehne), and the 4×800 (10:27.77 > Maddie Zwart, Morken, Grace Kingsley, Rakosnik). O-Rindels (400), G-Kingsley (3,200), Daniels (Triple Jump), Charlotte Ferrie (200), and Charity Kingsley (1,600) took second. Chatfield girls’ firsts: Jaelyn LaPlante (100 > 13.13; H-Jump -tie > 4’10”), Lexi Kivimagi (1,600 > 5:46.46), Charlotte Oeltjen (3,200 > 11:58.48), Rebecca Copeman (100-hurdles > 17.67), Savannah Peterson (Long Jump > 16’4 ½”), and the 4×100 (52.03 > Lillie Stejskal, Peterson, Sophia Goldsmith, LaPlante). LaPlante (200) also took second. LFCMC boys’ firsts: Andrew Brown (3,200 > 10:58.20) and Parker Krage (Pole Vault > 11’6”). Greg Kennedy (Long Jump) took second. Chatfield boys’ firsts: Logan Pearson (200 > 24.18), Ross Stoehr (H-Jump -tie > 5’10”), and Jake Stevens (Shot Put > 44’9 ¼”). Keegan Patten (300-hurdles) and Lane Schmaltz (P-Vault) took second.) 

PEM Winged Foot Meet (RPH’s guys (125.5) grabbed the team title over Cotter/HL (106). Waseca (91), PEM (89.5), Lake City (50), W-K (35), Caledonia/Spring Grove (34), and La Crescent/Hokah (27) also competed. On the girls’ side, Cotter/HL (105.5) topped Waseca (97), PEM (95), RPH (66), Lake City (56), LC/H (53), W-K (51.5), and C/SG (34). Tro-Cane boys firsts; Isaac Rasmussen (1,600 > 4:35.57), Cole Timm (3,200 > 11:36.81), Gregg Gile (Triple Jump > 37’2 ¾”), and Chace Drazkowski (Discus > 140’2”). Drazkowski (Shot Put), Aaron Ploetz (800, 1,600), Will Jewison (3,200), the 4×400 (Matthew Sprague, Ploetz, Trey Hegland, Hunter Rislov) and 4×800 (Rislov, Hegland, Brennan Kunst, Sprague) took second. Rislov (400) and Matthew Hengel (Discus) took third. Cal/SG firsts: Ethan Stendel (110-hurdles > 16.21, High Jump > 6’2”). Eli Staggemeyer (100) took third. RPH girls’ firsts: Aubry Boldt (100-hurdles > 15.59; Long Jump > 17’7”; Triple Jump > 36’4 ¼”). Caitlyn Bauer (1,600), Kyra Kotsmith (800), and Quinn Potter (Pole Vault) took second. Cal/SG girls’ firsts: Chloe Lange (100 > 13.82). The Warriors girls 4×100 (Lange, Sienna Augedahl, Kamrin Theis, Nicole Banse) and 4×200 (same as 4×100) each took second, both to Cotter/HL.) 

Hamline Elite Meet (GMLOKS’ Chantle Reiland and Tate Goergen, Caledonia/Spring Grove’s Fischer Wait, and LFCMC’s Brody Niemeyer competed at this select meet featuring all classes. Goergen (1:53.75) took third of 12 in the 800 and Reiland (12.34) third of 18 in the 100. Wait competed in the 400 (7th of 9), Niemeyer the Shot Put (12th of 12))
