Battle of GMLOKS and Chatfield
In a battle of state qualifying teams from a year ago, GMLOKS’ Breeley Galle hands off to Chantle Reiland while Chatfield’s Evy Goldsmith just exchanged with Jaelyn LaPlante. Oddly enough, Byron took first in this 4×200 race at the Stewartville meet, GMLOKS second, Chatfield third.

Stewartville “Glen Amundsen” Meet (GMLOKS’ guys (77) took second to Stewartville (175) with Chatfield taking fourth. GMLOKS’ girls (109) took second to Byron (126) with Chatfield taking fourth. Medford also competed at a five-team meet. GMLOKS guys’ firsts: T. Georgen (800 > 2:11.25), C. Glynn (1,600 > 5:09.97), Landon Chilman (300-hurdles > 43.63), the 4×400 (3:41.92 > Nathaniel Drees, Glynn, Georgen, Erik Shaw), and 4×800 (8:47.06 > Glynn, Drees, Shaw, Georgen) teams. Drees (400), Shaw (800), and Chilman (110-hurdles) added second place finishes. Brede Nelsen (Pole Vault) took third. Beau Wiersma had an individual fourth (200), fifth (Long Jump), and sixth (100). Chatfield’s 4×200 (Alden Pearson, Keegan Patten, Lane Schmaltz, Simon Erding) took second. Patten (110-hurdles), Maddex Lanning (800), and Ivar Stavlund (3,200) took third. Lanning added a fourth-place finish (1,600). GMLOKS girls’ firsts: Chantle Reiland (100 > 12.7), Lauren Queensland (800 > 2:37.27), Gracie Foster (100-hurdles > 16.63), L. Foster (Shot Put > 37’; Discus > 114’7”), Nevaeh Shaw (High Jump > 5’0”), and the 4×400 (4:32.48 > Reiland, Queensland, Naomi Warmka, Rylee Kleeberger). Queensland (High Jump) added a second place. Breeley Galle had two second places (300-hurdles, Triple Jump) and a third (100-hurdles). Brynn Sathre (Discus) and the 4×200 (Lydia Redman, Reiland, G-Foster, Galle) took second. G-Foster (300-H) and Warmka (1,600) added third place finishes. Chatfield girls’ firsts: L. Kivimagi (1,600 > 5:48.19; 3,200 > 12:49.35), the 4×100 (52.38 > Lauryn Daniels, Savannah Peterson, Evy Goldsmith, Jaelyn LaPlante). Charlotte Oeltjen (3,200) took third. LaPlante (200, High Jump) had two fourth place finishes) 

Triton Meet (LFCMC’s boys (91) took second to Cotter (160.5) with Chatfield taking sixth (of 10 teams). Cotter’s girls (137) took first over RACE (93) with LFCMC (87.5) and Chatfield (86.5) taking third and fourth. Dover-Eyota, Triton, Blooming Prairie, Medford, Hayfield, and Randolph also competed. Lucas Nikoloski (Discus > 134”) had LFCMC’s only guys’ first. Mason Howard (200), the boys 4×100 (Howard, Greg Kennedy, Davis Penhollow, Michael Rein), 4×400 (Kennedy, Isaac Snyder, Jayce Kiehne, Luke Ruen), and 4×800 (Maddex Rindels, Snyder, Landon Sethre, Ruen) teams took second. Nikoloski (Shot Put), Kennedy (Triple Jump), and Riley Grant (1,600) took third. LFCMC’s only girls’ first was the 4×800 (10:42.56 > Kyla Hellickson, Brooklyn Simon, Sahara Morken, Lillyan Kiehne). Autumn Rakosnik (800), the 4×200 (Sari Rein, Bailey Erwin, Aubrey Daniels, Kinley Soiney), and 4×400 (Kiehne, Sahara Morken, Daniels, Soiney) teams took second. Hellickson (800, High Jump) and Charity Kingsley (1,600) took third. Keegan Patten (300-hurdles > 46.8) had Chatfield’s only guys’ first. Patten (110-hurdles), Jake Stevens (Shot Put), and Lane Schmaltz (Pole Vault) took second. Maddex Lanning (3,200) took third. Chatfield’s only girls’ first place was the 4×100 (51.75 > Lauryn Daniels, Savannah Peterson, Evy Goldsmith, Jaelyn LaPlante). LaPlante (100) and Lexi Kivimagi (3,200) took second. Goldsmith (100), Adia Evans (400), and Rebecca Copeman (Pole Vault) took third) 

PEM Meet (RPH’s boys (78.5) took third and Caledonia/Spring Grove’s (70.5) fourth behind Stewartville (211.5) and St. Charles (135). The Tiger girls (172) took first over the Saints (130) with RPH (72) taking fourth and C/SG sixth (of six teams). PEM and La Crescent/Hokah also competed. RPH’s only guys’ first was the 4×800 team (8:38.85 > Aaron Ploetz, Matthew Sprague, Ryan Prinsen, Tyler Betthauser). Quintin Betthauser (110-hurdles, 300-hurdles) had two seconds. Prinsen (400) and the 4×400 (Q-Betthauser, Sprague, Alex Wedl, Prinsen) took second. Ploetz (3,200) and T-Betthauser (800) took third. Lauren Honken (Pole Vault > 8’6”) and Jorja Meyer (Discus > 97’9”) took first for the RPH girls. Meyer (Shot Put) added a second. Ava Helgemoe (400), Tayler Helgemoe (High Jump), and the 4×400 (Emily Helgemoe, Lauren Honken, T-Helgemoe, A-Helgemoe) took second. For Cal/SG, Josh Beardmore (100 > 11.69), Fischer Wait (200 > 23.24, 400 > 52.24), and the 4×200 team (1:30.31 > Owen Staggemeyer, Gabe Curley, Beardmore, Wait) took first. By comparison, Chatfield’s 4×200 won state last in a time of 1:29.43. The boys 4×100 (O-Staggemeyer, Curley, Eli Staggemeyer Beardmore) took second. E-Staggemeyer (100), O-Staggemeyer (200), and Jordan Tornstrom (Discus) took third. Notably, Wait, O-Staggemeyer, and Curley took first, third, and fourth in the 200. C/SG’s top girls’ finisher was the third place 4×100 (Loisah Gay, Sienna Augedahl, Chloe Lange, Nicole Banse)
