The Third Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court continues to move forward with the announcements of an awarded grant and hiring of a veterans court coordinator.
The Third Judicial District has been awarded $500,000 in Federal grant funds from October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2023, to assist in the start-up of the district-wide Veterans Treatment Court.
Preston Selleck has accepted the position of the veterans court coordinator. Mr. Selleck is a Winona Assistant County Attorney and a former Major in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in combat in Afghanistan. Preston joined the implementation committee early on and has been an active prosecutor in the pilot court. His involvement and in-depth knowledge of the program will be a real asset, allowing him to hit the ground running. He is scheduled to start on November 20, 2019.
