Teresa Ann (Halloran) Narveson, aged 86, of Chatfield, Minn., passed away peacefully at the Chosen Valley Care Center on May 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born to Joe and Ione (Johnson) Halloran on October 15, 1937, in Rochester, Minn., she grew into a life characterized by family devotion, community involvement and unwavering faith.
Teresa leaves behind a legacy of love and nurturing, remembered affectionately as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend to many.
She is survived by her children Kathy Bernard (Mike), Mike Narveson (Lynne), Kelly Nosbisch (Doug) and Michelle Chick (Brad); her sister Sue Pries, her brothers-in-law Lyle Narveson (Doris), Jerry Narveson (Elsie), Butch Narveson (Carmen) and Darrel Bacon; her grandchildren Brian Bernard (Katie), Brad Bernard (Bry), Greg Bernard (Tallie), Erin Fox (Josh), Matthew Narveson, Mitchell Narveson (Emily), Kyle Nosbisch, Abby Nosbisch (Lucas), Ryan Nosbisch, Anisa Chick (JM), Kaylee Chick (Ryan), Kenna Chick and Carter Suchanek; special nephew and family Scott Jech, (Chris), Katie and Tommy; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Dean Narveson, parents Joe and Ione Halloran, brother Larry Joe Halloran, sister Mary Francis Halloran, sisters-in-law Beverly Polikowsky, Donna Jech, Lois Bacon and Linda Narveson; brothers-in-law Frank Pries, Robert Polikowsky and Robert Jech; and great-grandson Bennett Fox.
A proud graduate of Chatfield High School, Class of 1955, Teresa spent her career in caring professions. From running a children’s daycare in her home to various roles in local businesses and supporting education as a para professional at Chatfield Elementary, her dedication to service touched many lives in the community.
Teresa was an avid sports fan. She took great joy in watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in sporting events. When she was not supporting local sports teams you could find her tending to her garden, preserving the fruits of her labor through canning, reading, nurturing her family with her famous baked goods found at every family event and cheering on the Minnesota Twins.
Teresa was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister for many years.
Visitation will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Chatfield, Minn., on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 11 a.m., also at St Mary’s Catholic Church.
