On September 12, 2025, the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Upper Iowa River near Bluffton around 10 a.m. for a report of a body that was found in the river. Delmar was born May 19, 1928, in Marengo, Iowa to Milo and Myrtle (Back) Good. He attended the Bluffton country school. In November, 1950, he entered the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was discharged in August 1952 after being wounded in Korea and receiving the Purple Heart.
