Stephanie Kay Larson died of complications of Huntington’s Disease on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at TBI Residential in Duluth, Saint Louis County, Minn.
Stephanie was born November 15, 1965 in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minn., to Sharon Kay Fransen and Neil Leslie Larson. She attended Coon Rapids Anoka County schools, graduating in 1984. Stephanie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in economics in 1988. She was employed by the University of Minnesota Hospital for her entire career. In her spare time, Stephanie loved reading and writing and was a talented artist with drawing and painting as her favorite mediums.
Stephanie is survived by her sister Sarah Larson Powell, aunts Connie Fransen Pittel (Kenneth), Marilyn Fransen Holcomb, Linda Fransen Raebel (Allan), and Marti Fransen Mohrman (Arnie); uncles Brian Larson (Jennifer Garrett) and Glen Lager, cousins Candi Freese (Tim), Kim Douglas (Ben), Megan Prosser (Nate) Andrew Fransen, Chris Raebel (Kelly), Jennifer Raebel, Nicole Holcomb (Shane), Danielle Pittel, Kacy Ali (Shauncy), Andrea Pittel (Jacob), Karen Schroeder Krezbietke (Robert), Linda Schroeder Calkins (Jay), Melanie Larson Walsh and Bjorn Larson (Lauren).
Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents William and Arlene Johnson Fransen and Llewellyn and Georgia Spande Larson, uncles Dennis and James Fransen, Dean Peterson, Doug Holcomb and Norbert Schroeder; aunts Shirley May Fransen, Barbara Fransen Peterson, Lucy Hubel Fransen, and Martha Larson Lager; and cousins Shawn Raebel, Bobi Noble, Scott Peterson, and Zachary Noble.
Interment will be at the Scheie Lutheran Cemetery, rural Mabel, Fillmore County, Minn. A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2023.
