The Spring Valley-Wykoff FFA Chapter is successfully completing various activities with its numerous members in the 2024-2025 school year. With members actively participating in these activities it makes it easy to be successful in everything the chapter has accomplished. This chapter has hard working members who are willing to take on any task handed to them!
The Spring Valley-Wykoff FFA chapter has done many activities including an officer retreat at Eagle Bluff at the start of the year, activity night, where members did service projects like making tie blankets and crafts for the nursing home; they also participated in a corn drive with our local farmers, where the money was donated to Camp Friends and the local food shelves; and brought animals to visit the residents of the local nursing home. Most of these members also have participated in Career and Leadership Development Events (CDEs), which has given them great opportunities to be active in the chapter and learn more about what FFA has to offer. Some of these CDEs include Employment Skills, Dairy Foods, Horse, Small Animals, Soils, and Meats. With many more CDEs left to compete, members are continually practicing to do their best on their events. Along with all of these accomplishments, members were also very successful with their fruit sales this year.
After all of these activities, they are now holding the most eventful activity, FFA week. This is filled with many fun activities including snow tubing, barnyard, Ag olympics, coloring contest, scavenger hunt, member meal, and staff appreciation. The chapter also hosts a pancake breakfast from 7-9:30 on February 18 for all community members. With much left to do, the chapter stays busy and accomplishes big things.
