SPRING GROVE, MN – The Spring Grove Economic Development Authority recently announced the approval of $10,000 for the 2020 Fix Up Fund. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial implications that it has had on our small businesses, the EDA has decided to remove any deadline for applying for the 2020 program. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis until November 1, 2020, or until all funds are allocated
The purpose of the Fix Up Fund is to provide incentives to local businesses to improve the appearance of their building facades and stimulate private investment. From 2013 to 2019, the EDA granted $46,385 in Fix Up Fund dollars, which leveraged over $159,000 of private investment. Businesses can apply for up to 50% in matching funds, up to $2,500 to support eligible façade improvement projects.
