Up to #2 in the Class A polls, Houston softball whipped through three more foes to remain perfect. At R-P, Julia Swenson (3-3, 3B, HR, 4 RBI, 2 R) had a big game in an 11-0 win in five innings.  Claire Frauenkron (2-4, 3B, 2 RBI, R, 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K) pitched the win. Hailey Stark (2-3, RBI, 2 R), Kylie Stinson (2-2, RBI, R), Rylee Boldt (2-4, 3B, 2 R), Aspen Peterson (1-3, 2 R), and Kayla Klunder (1-3, 2 RBI) added to the potent double-H offense.  R-P had just two hits. Hosting GMLOK, freshman Kylie Stinson (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R), a four-year starter, recorded her 100th career hit on a home run in a 13-3 win in five innings.  Olivia Yohe was 3-for-3 (3 RBI, 2 R).  Claire F. (5 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K; 1-3, 2B, 2 RBI) improved to 13-0 with the pitching win.  Emma Struzyk (1-2, 2B, R), Macy Runck (1-3, R), Jaelee Hagstrom (1-2, RBI), and Gabby Glocke (1-2, RBI) led the Bulldogs. Josh Swenson’s group ended the week handling Schaeffer Academy 15-0 in five innings.  Yohe was again 3-for-3 (RBI, 2 R). Swenson (2-3, 3B, RBI, 2 R), Peterson (2-3, two 2B, 3 RBI, R), Claire F. (3-3, 2B, 2 RBI, 3 R; 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K) all had extra base hits.  Stark (1-2, 2 RBI) and Stinson (1-2, RBI, 2 R) helped. Caidence Frauenkron (4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K) pitched the win.  It was Houston’s tenth win by 10 or more runs, eleventh game scoring in double digits. The Hurricanes (7-0, 14-0) are averaging 11-plus runs a game and lead the SEC over Southland (6-1, 9-1) and M-C (5-2, 7-6).
