The Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston boys dropped two conference decisions before closing with a non-league win during a busy week of shutout soccer. On Sept. 28, the Warriors lost at home to Dover-Eyota 1-0 two days before a 3-0 road loss at St. Charles/Lewiston-Altura. Two days elapsed again before the boys blanked visiting Lake City, 1-0. The Warriors ended the week at 5-7-2 (3-5-1 TRC).
D-E 1, Cal/SG/Hou 0
The Eagles scored during the fourth minute of action and held on for their second shutout of the season against Cal/SG/Hou. There was some improvement for the Warrior defense after giving up three goals in an early-season 3-0 road setback at Eyota.
SC/LA 3, Cal/SG/Hou 0
St. Charles/Lewiston-Altura earned a season split with the home team winning both Three Rivers Conference contests. The Warriors had previously prevailed, 4-2, in what is the highest-scoring game on the Warrior schedule.
Cal/SG/Hou 1, Lake City 0
Gabe Morey scored the winner about halfway through the second half with a shot that bounced off a Tiger defender into the goal.
