Notice is hereby given,
The Local Board of Appeal and Equalization will be held at the Sheldon Town Hall at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, the 20th day of April, 2026, for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of said township for the year 2025.
The Local Board of Appeal and Equalization provides a fair and objective forum for property owners to appeal their valuation or classification. The local board serves as the first step in the appeals process for taxpayers. All cases heard by the local board may be further appealed to the County Board of Appeal and Equalization (CBAE), which is the second step in the appeals process. Property owners may only appeal to the CBAE if they first appealed to the local board.
All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment, or who wish to complain that the property of another is assessed too low, are hereby notified to appear at said meeting and show just cause of having such assessment corrected.
