FFA Week is a week-long celebration that local chapters put on each year. The goal of FFA week is to throw fun activities for younger kids to get them engaged in the club. By hosting FFA Week, chapters increase enrollment and expose children to the joys of a high school club.
The Rushford-Peterson chapter celebrates FFA Week by hosting a middle school ag olympics, which includes many activities such as: a lasso contest, hay bale toss, tug of war, kissing a goat, and many more. The highlight of the agriculture olympics is the pie toss, where the middle schoolers choose a FFA officer to pie. The crowd goes wild every year seeing their favorite officer’s face full of whipped cream. The chapter also hosts many activities for the elementary school such as an FFA official dress activity, reading to kindergarten students, and giving out ice cream. We work hard to make sure that the children have a good time.
The Rushford-Peterson chapter works hard to put on the event, planning weeks in advance. The entire club comes together to put on the agriculture olympics and the elementary school activities. They try their best to choose the most fun activities that the children like, too.
Each member puts in effort to make FFA week the best it can be.
